FAQs

How does this work?

The Junior League of Pelham has connected with multiple local social services and other community-based organizations that provide direct services and have deep relationships with populations in and around Pelham. We rely on these organizations to identify families that have significant needs. Once we have identified those families and understood their current needs, we list them on this website. These families are mainly in lower Westchester and Yonkers.

Read about the families and let us know if you are interested in assisting by filling out the form associated with each family. The website lists the specific needs of each family. Once you have obtained all the items listed for each family, please contact us at pelhamcares@jlpelham.com and a volunteer from the Junior League will start the process of coordinating pickup and delivery to the families.

Please note, we can accommodate purchases on behalf of the family (e.g. winter coats, bedding, diapers, and gift cards); cash donations are not permissible.

Can I get a tax receipt for my donation?

We are not providing tax receipts at this time for your donations. We do not permit cash donations – solely purchases on behalf of the family (e.g. groceries, household needs) or gift cards.
