Alvin who is 74 lives with two of his grandchildren (21 and 11 yo). His health is ailing, and he relies on many medications which unfortuately have high co-payments. That leaves little money left over for basic needs like food. He goes to the food pantry when possible and has had some assistance from friends who have come by with groceries as well.
